I have a long career in rural medicine, so I am comfortable treating nearly any age group. I feel I have combined the most current medical practices with the caring and compassion of an old-fashioned rural physician. I generally see older patients or adults with more complex care needs, such as diabetes or heart failure. I find that patients appreciate being able to get comprehensive care from their primary care doctor without having to travel to frequent referrals. I like to get to know my patients so that we can work together as a team. It’s important for me to understand their health goals. My priority is to do my part to help my patients make healthy lifestyle choices and enable them to stay active and enjoy their lives.
