Norma Sarao, MD

Norma Maalasarao, MD, practices internal medicine and has more than 40 years of medical experience. Dr. Maalasarao earned her medical degree from the University of the East, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in the Philippines. She completed her internship at St. Mary's Hospital and her residency at HackensackUMC Mountainside, formerly Mountainside Hospital, both in New Jersey. Dr. Maalasarao chose the field of internal medicine because of the wide variety of medical conditions that she can diagnose and treat. She has a special interest in hematology and oncology because of the positive difference she believes that she can make in the quality of people's lives. In her spare time, Dr. Maalasarao enjoys sampling ethnic cuisine and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to English, she speaks Spanish and Tagalog.
