Jamshid Baharvar, MD

James J. Baharvar, MD, is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Baharvar earned his medical degree from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Iran. He completed his internship at the Lutheran Hospital in Ohio, and his residencies at Long Island Hospital in Massachusetts, and Jewish Memorial Hospital in Boston. In addition, Dr. Baharvar completed a fellowship in geriatrics at Long Island Jewish Hospital in New York. Dr. Baharvar is a compassionate physician who is also a good listener. He encourages his patients to research their medical conditions to learn more about them. He also urges them to practice good nutritional and exercise habits as well as reduce their stress levels. In his spare time, Dr. Baharvar plays the piano and accordion. He also enjoys poetry and other cultural arts. In addition to English, he speaks basic Spanish and Farsi.
