Biography
Thuc Ba Tu, MD, is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Tu earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Maarten. He completed his internship at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit and his residency at Martin Luther King, Jr. Multi-Service Ambulatory Care Center in Los Angeles. He also completed a fellowship in nephrology at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Tu chose to become a physician because of his deep, compassionate desire to help people. The fields of internal medicine and nephrology (the study and practice of treating kidney diseases) especially interested him because of the long-term relationships he could build with his patients and their families. Dr. Tu takes pride in treating patients of various ages and backgrounds. In his spare time, he enjoys exercising, including playing basketball when his schedule allows, and watching basketball games on television. In addition to English, Dr. Tu speaks Vietnamese.
