Biography
Joseph Perera, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine. Dr. Perera earned his medical degree from the University of Ceylon Faculty of Medicine in what is now called Sri Lanka. He completed his residency at the Veterans Affairs Long Beach Medical Center in California. Dr. Perera strives to get the best possible diagnosis for his patients and treat them with compassion. Outside of the office, Dr. Perera runs free medical clinics in Sri Lanka. He enjoys gardening in his free time. In addition to English, he speaks, Spanish, Sinhalese, and he has a basic command of Tamil.
