Hal Shimazu, MD, is board certified in family medicine. Dr. Shimazu earned his medical degree from the UC Davis School of Medicine. In addition to his patient practice, Dr. Shimazu also serves as a professor in the Department of Family Medicine at UC Irvine College of Medicine. Patients give Dr. Shimazu rave reviews for many reasons. They say that he is excellent at diagnosing difficult-to-understand diseases and conditions, such as Lyme disease. They add that he is very thorough and asks a lot of smart questions regarding patients' family medical histories.
