Nishu Karki, MD

Nishu Karki, MD, is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Karki earned her medical degree from Manipal School of Medical Science in Nepal. She completed her internship and residency at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in New York. Her father was an anesthesiologist and many of her family members are physicians. Growing up, she could sense how fulfilling the work would be, which is why following in their footsteps felt so natural to her. Dr. Karki aims to listen closely and to be empathetic and compassionate when addressing each patient's concerns. Her office has a friendly and cheerful atmosphere, and she makes an effort to ensure every visit is stress-free. Dr. Karki believes it is a top priority to do all she can to optimize each of her patient's long-term health goals. When she's not caring for her patients, Dr. Karki cherishes time spent with her husband and two daughters. She's grateful to be raising children in sunny Southern California where she enjoys all of her outdoor hobbies. She loves baking and gardening and grows many of her own ingredients that she uses in her cooking. In addition to English, Dr. Karki speaks fluent Nepali.
